We really miss living close to good Mexican restaurants. The other night, I decided to load up the kids and go find some good Mexican food, no matter how far I had to drive. We ended up on Bethel Road (not that far, really) at La Casita.
I wanted this to be quick and easy during rush hour with two kids. Done and done. Next time, I have to get a picture of our server, Lorenzo. He brought his A-game that night, starting conversation with Larkyn, teaching her a little Spanish, and telling me multiple times not to worry about the massive amounts of rice and cheese on the floor. He came by to check on Rhys ("my friend") several times in the 6 minutes it took to get our food. It actually may have been less time that.
My crispy chicken tacos were so much better than the standard. I can't put my finger on it, but something was so different about them (and now I want them again). They have a great kids menu with Mexican and American food, but my kids are crazy about rice and beans, so that is all we needed.
We will be back quite often to see Lorenzo. He also let me know that their Happy Hour has $5 margaritas, so if that is your thing, try it out! We stop in often for carryout and it is a place we can take the kids and know that the staff will be patient and our food will be awesome.
